*Thank you short letter to Ernest E. West*

Dear Private first class Ernest E. WEst,
I thank you very much for your braveness. The fact that you lost your eye was really unfortunate but you did it to sav e your country and the rest of your army partners.
You got awarded a really cool medal of honor that only a few can get. What you did will be remembered for the rest of peoples life. That benefits me in a way because it motivates me to be a better person and appreciate what soldiers are doing for us. I wish you rest, and to your relatives i wish them the best there could be. They should be thankful to have had you in there family.

"Immigrants should stay"

I support the immigrants because everyone in this worl has a dream to become some one important and make money to support there families. Every one in this worl has a dream to own a house and in order for that to happen they need to work and save money.

Immigrants have most of the jobs and it is true we do it for less but they're proud to have something to support themselves or even a family, thats why i think they should be able to stay

they are not criminals we should leave tha paleteros and eloteros do there job and make some money to support there family, they are not doing anything wrong about that....=]

The american dream of my parents are that one they they could go to Mexico, AND THEY ONLY NEED TO WAIT ABOUT 3 TO 4 MORE YEARS i feel very happy for them i know there going to be so happy when thay go. I thank god for everything...=]

the picture of that church is where my parents got married in Mexico, there dream is to go back in there and have good memories.
"goals accomplished"
The goals that i have accomplished are to pay my cell phone bill. Im glad i accomplished that one because i needed to pay for it instead of my parents . My parents also need help so im glad i accomplished it. Another goal i accomplished is that i went to six flags for halloween and i had lots of fun...yayyy..=]

"A check that will give us upon demand the riches of Freedom and the security of justice"

This is the quote where me and my group felt strong about what he said because people where clapping when he would say that. In the video that Ms.Diaz showed us after Martin Luther King said that quote the audience clapped and made alot of noise. Thats why we picked this quote.
"The Mayra's poem"

Does it fly...
like a bird?
or bounce like a ball being
played by children?
does it smell like flowers?
or move constantly
like a baby?
maybe it can sit still like a chair
or does it shake?

*My Values*
My values are the people around me like my parents, friends, and my boyfriend. The things i value and America.

Hello my name is Mayra Plascencia. What i would be writting about are my thoughts about my most and least values in America. Also i will write about if my thoughts match the values for America. I will write about my least values and my most values. Hope you enjoy my thoughts.

My thoughts about the American values are that America values money the most because with out it they wouldnt be anything, they wouldnt be able to get the things we need like gas or the parks we have in our community. My thoughts do not match the America values.

My most value that i have is between education and my family because education will determine what you will be in life. If i get the education i neen and i take advantage of it i will suceed and make my family happy. If i do that my family would be so proud and i think thats what they deserve not only my family but all the people who care for me such as friends and all the people around me. This value i will carry on with me and will never be forgotten.
